My name is Seth Gebel and I grew up in Catawissa Missouri just outside of St. Louis. I started mountain biking my sophomore year of high school when my cousin brought me out for my first ride, on a walmart bike, on what we consider here a black diamond trail. My thought was “this is the hardest, most fun thing I’ve ever done!” and immediately fell in love with it ever since. Fast forward quite a few years when I turned 23 and took a trip to Colorado. This trip made me realize I was missing something on my local trails. FEATURES. I’d been riding XC trails for years and hadn’t got to experience the feeling of sending features, so you can imagine my excitement when I came to Colorado and got to feel that adrenaline rush of “sending it”. SO, as soon as I got back I started building on my parents property. Fast forward to today. I still live adjacent to my parents property (roughly 50 acres of woods) that I build on daily. Im very fortunate to have a playground of woods to build whatever I see fit in, because Missouri riders don’t get much feature time. I’d love to change that! Hopefully someday we’ll be able to push a build along that benefits the public here in St Louis for MTB skills progression. For now though, I build every weekend and film for you all to watch!
